Traditionally pieced; Quilted on a home machine - quilting in the ditch, quilting by machine embroidery; and outline of poinsettias with metallic gold threads

This was my second quilt. I had naïvely thought upon a trip to the quilt shop that in late October 2005 that I could easily have the quilt finished in time for December despite my busy schedule. My quilting mentor gently broke the news to me that I probably would not be able to complete quilt for Christmas that year, but that I would have it for Christmas the following year. I worked like a determined mad man in the month of November and part of December, and was able to finally display my first Christmas quilt above my fireplace on December 17, 2005!
